BALLY TECHNOLOGIES LEADS WITH THE MOST AWARDS IN CASINO JOURNAL'S 'TOP 20 MOST INNOVATIVE GAMING TECHNOLOGY PRODUCTS' COMPETITION
LAS VEGAS, April 16, 2008 – Bally Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BYI), a leader in slots, video machines, casino management systems and networked solutions for the global gaming industry, announced today that it has won four awards – the most of any nominated company – in Casino Journal magazine’s annual Top 20 Most Innovative Gaming Technology Products Awards competition.

“These four awards are a testament to the culture of innovation at Bally and the spirit of our employees,” said Richard M. Haddrill, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bally Technologies. “Going against the ‘best of the best’ in this competition not only validates our leadership in the global gaming technology market, it also demonstrates that when it comes to creating some of the most exciting and advanced new gaming products in the industry, we’re at the top of our game.”

Bally’s history of creativity is reflected by its success in this competition in recent years. Last year the Company won awards for its ALPHA Elite™ series of video and reel-spinning slots and its Bally Live Rewards™ second-way-to-win bonusing system. In 2006, Bally’s CineVision™ wide-screen video gaming platform was among the winners.

Bally’s four winning products this year feature some of the Company’s most cutting-edge technology to date:

Bally’s GameMaker, the legendary name that once launched a revolution in multi-game platforms, is re-imagined in a new high-definition, widescreen format. As the only widescreen multi-game platform in the gaming industry, GameMaker HD gives gaming operators the unsurpassed flexibility of a technologically superior multi-game and multi-denomination gaming experience.

With an eye toward the Networked Floor of the Future, GameMaker HD is designed with such downloadable-ready features as an upgraded processor, multi-purpose button panel, and increased memory for improved storage capacity and lightning-fast responsiveness.

Based on Bally’s award-winning CineVision widescreen gaming platform, Bally’s new CineReels stepper introduces the world’s first seven-reel game configuration to the gaming industry with three-, four-, and five-reel versions also available. CineReels offers the stepper market the same player immersion and player comfort features as Bally’s successful CineVision video slot cabinet, including a dynamic surround-sound audio system, unique privacy zone, and a comfortable arm rest and well-positioned player-tracking interface.

The platform’s unique “micro-stepping” technology provides a new level of rhythmic game play, including another industry first -- true Reel-Stop™ functionality for unsurpassed player control. After initiating a spin, a player can then tap the “Spin” button to instantly stop all the reels, thus permitting them to establish their own personal rhythm of game play.

Bally’s Business Intelligence solution is an advanced application that allows gaming operators to analyze and visualize the extensive data gathered throughout their business enterprise. It consists of two distinct and integrated components – a Data Analysis Dashboard and Visual Analysis module – both working off one combined Gaming Data Warehouse that operates on both Teradata® and Microsoft® SQL Server database platforms. The Bally Business Intelligence solution enables customers to maximize their player-centric marketing efforts and enhances their ability to better target their most valuable customers.

Providing table rating and player tracking in real time, Bally’s TableView allows gaming operators to replace their existing manual rating process with the ease, speed and simplicity of electronic automation. Developed on the powerful Microsoft.NET framework, this is a more effective and efficient way for casinos to track table-game play and ensure that table-game players get the same recognition and rewards as slot players. TableView leverages existing software and technology infrastructure while providing casinos with an easy-to-train, user-friendly tool. Some of TableView’s most exciting features include real-time player rating, multilingual support, text-message alerts, comp issuance, rating detail, year and trip history, and hot player notification based on the player’s card/rating level.

Attendees to the Gaming Technology Summit May 20-22, 2008 at Green Valley Ranch Resort and Casino in Henderson, Nev. will vote for their favorite products and services from the Top 20. From that voting, platinum, gold, and silver medals will be awarded to the top vote-getters. Bally Technologies will be featured in the June issue of Casino Journal along with the 16 other Top 20 Most Innovative Gaming Technology Products winners.
