BALLY TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES IT HAS BEEN SELECTED AS THE PREFERRED VENDOR FOR GAMING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PROCUREMENT FOR TWO CORPORATIONS IN CANADA

Two of Canada’s largest gambling entertainment providers choose Bally Technologies in a competitive procurement process

LAS VEGAS, November 14, 2010 — Bally Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BYI), a leader in slots, video machines, casino-management, and server-based solutions for the global gaming industry, today announced that the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) and the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) selected Bally Technologies as the preferred vendor to replace their Class 3 Gaming Management Systems.

OLG and BCLC are working collaboratively on this project, which encompasses replacement of the Gaming Management Systems in each province to monitor all slot machines at multiple sites within each jurisdiction, as well as numerous slot accounting, player marketing, business intelligence, and media-management solutions. The two provincial Crown corporations issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) in December 2009 before selecting Bally as their preferred vendor.

“We look forward to finalizing the process and beginning a collaborative relationship that will help us grow and evolve our programs,” said Richard M. Haddrill, Chief Executive Officer of Bally Technologies, Inc. “We are honored and humbled to have come this far in what has been a very thoughtful and forward-thinking selection process. We realize there is much work to be done in both the contractual process, and, if contracted, the implementation process, but we are committed to being an excellent and responsive partner if we are given that trust.”

Implementation of the Bally system in both provinces is targeted to begin in mid-year of calendar 2011, pending regulatory approvals, and is expected to take more than a year to complete.
